Shawn Thornton serves as senior pastor at Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village, California and speaker on the daily half-hour radio program, All Things New.

Shawn loves teaching God’s Word with creativity, boldness and relevance. Whether preaching an expository series through a book of the Bible, or choosing topical subjects based on his personal studies in the Scriptures, Shawn agrees that God’s Word has life-transforming power. “For the word of God is alive and active. He believes God wants him to live more and more like Jesus every day. Over the years, God has challenged and taught Shawn what it means to follow the servant example of Jesus. He believes that when he is living and loving like Jesus, God is glorified and others are blessed!

Calvary Community Church – Westlake Village, CA

Since 2008, Shawn has served as the Senior Pastor of Calvary Community Church, Westlake Village, CA. Calvary’s weekly attendance is over 3,000 people with as many as 25,000 people in the area identifying Calvary as their church. Along with the Elders and Ministry Leaders, Pastor Shawn has sought to replant the heart of the church and establish a new, fresh vision for the future. “Calvary 20/20” was introduced in the fall of 2011, giving the church body a new sense of God’s direction and passion for what God has ahead. Pastor Shawn loves the Calvary family, the Conejo Valley area, and the opportunity to be a part of the amazing work God is doing in and through Calvary Community Church.
